Tolerance

Hello, children. Here's the link to the video I told you about today. It has subtitles, because I thought the music might make it a little hard for you to understand the words.

After watching the video, compare it with this one. It belongs to the movie "The great dictator", by Charlie Chaplin - which is, in fact, my favourite movie ever -. You might have seen it before, but it's always good to watch and to listen to again. After watching both videos, post your opinion!

Enjoy and comment!
See you on monday.

Plays - videos

Hello, as this week we worked with different excerpts from two plays - ¨The Bald Soprano¨, by Eugene Ionesco, and a monologue from ¨August: Osage County¨ -, I thought you might like to see how the texts you read in class come alive when they are performed by actors. So, here you are, the first link is for 4th ¨A¨ and the second link is for 4th ¨B¨.  Watch and comment!
See you on monday.
Miss Belén

First post of the year!

Welcome to our blog, children! Here we’ll post videos, songs, tales and information to complement our classes. Besides, you will also find homework and exam dates in this blog, so that no one has an excuse to say “A test!? Today????? ”.

Now, getting down to business…
Remember the reading about multiple intelligences from last year (oh so long ago)? Well, I promised I would give you more information, but we moved on because you had to practice for the final exam and we forgot about it. So now, in order to redeem myself, I post this link:
“What is it?” You'll say. Well, it’s actually a test, and it’s also your first homework. You have to click on the link and answer the questions. Then press the “Finish” button and, alas!, the test will tell you what your strongest intelligences are. Answer all the questions truthfully, and remember: if you don’t understand a word, look it up in the dictionary, don’t click any random buttons because if you do that the results won’t be accurate. When you’re done, push the comment button under this post and tell us what the results were, or post the link with the answers.
Waiting to read your comments!
Miss Belén

PS. Don’t forget to feed the fish.
